“In a Land Without a Sun” Re Release for Mental Health Awareness Month

May is Mental Health Awareness month. Last year we released the single, “In a Land Without a Sun”. This year we decided to revisit the song, remix it, and make an accompanying video.

In re releasing the revamped version of this song as well as the video, we are desiring to not just offer some hope to people that are in a darkness, but we are also trying to raise money over the month to give to an organization that helps in the care of the hurting.

We will be offering the song as a free download on Bandcamp, but any money that people spend on it will be donated.

Both Elis and I have dealt with mental health issues in our lives as well as with family and loved ones. With this song we chose to describe some of the emotions of dealing with those feelings of despair and loneliness that come from that struggle. We also wanted to say that there is hope. That there are people out there that care about you in your struggles. Not to give up. To wait for a “star” to guide you back to the light.

All profits from the sales of the song, shirt and sticker will go to the National Alliance on Mental Illness, an organization that helps with mental health. The National Alliance on Mental Illness
